The resort itself only sells fishing licences. However, our staff will assist in advising what kind of bait and where to buy the bait (in Chidenguele) specific fishing spots and all other information that you might need in this regard.
Fresh produce is available in Chidenguele every day between 08H00 - 18H00
Fish : available from local fishermen, but keep in mind that there are many lodges in the area and all the guests want to buy fish, so perhaps it is a good idea to stock up on your way to Sunset Beach in Xai Xai at the market (Xai Xai is approximately 55 km from Sunset).
Bread - Paos (Portuguese bread rolls) : fresh on a daily basis in Chidenguele
Vegetables (What types are available over December?) Rather stock up in Xai Xai (much cheaper also), although you can get fresh tomatoes, onions, peppers, lettuce (very nice varieties), potatoes, cabbage and garlic in the village.
Fruit (What types are available over December?) Mangoes and pineapples in abundance but not much else of the tropical fruit that one would be able to buy in Nelspruit / Komatipoort area during that time of the year. Cashew nuts are sold all along the road between Maputo and the lodge and it’s fairly cheap.
